Dear Cory,

We were so excited when we first arrived at Villa Feliz. It was everything you described on the internet and more. Maria Elena had a pot of her delicious chicken vegetable soup waiting on the stove for us when we arrived. (I think she was amused when we asked her to make it all five days we were there.) It was a perfect “welcome home” after a long day of traveling. We didn’t even leave the house the first night. The next morning, after enjoying a wonderful breakfast prepared by Melena, we ventured out to the center of town. The location of the house could not have been more ideal in a nice, safe, quiet neighborhood about a ten minute walk to town. By following the directions in the SMA guidebook you furnished (a must read), we also discovered a fabulous walk (more of a hike) from the house through the center of town up to the Botanical Gardens (highly recommended).

We missed the Sunday House & Garden Tour, but I don’t think we could have seen a house more lovely than Villa Feliz. Amenities included free phone calls to and from the US; satellite TV with TVs in every room including kitchen, living room (large flat screen), master bedroom, and bath; internet service for those who bring their laptops; silk sheets and down pillows, and many more. Also I should mention that the driver you recommended to transport us to and from the airport was very punctual, polite, and accomodating. He was waiting for us when we arrived and he picked us up at 4:00am to catch an early morning flight back to the US. The fact that he spoke English made it much easier to make the reservations.

I was very fortunate to have found your beautiful, hospitable home on the internet and hope to be able to come back again very soon. Thank you for making our vacation extra special. I give Villa Feliz my highest recommendation.

What a perfect vacation! Our first experience at a house rental as we have always stayed at Bed and Breakfasts and fine hotels but your home was perfect for the six of us. Everything you described about the house turned out to be exact. It was more than we expected and delightfully filled our vacation experience as each couple had privacy and yet we could be together in the charming spots you have created at Villa Feliz. (Large living room with adequate seating, outdoor dining off the beautiful garden, rooftop vistas)

Malena turned out some wonderful meals for us both breakfast and lunch or dinner when requested. We had friends staying in town and they joined us for a nice cocktail party which Malena handled beautifully. She is well taught and very anxious to please. You are very fortunate as she is a gem.

Having “free” phone service to the states was wonderful as a couple of us needed to contact our office daily..what a helpful and thoughtful plus that was. We did not make any local cell calls on your local phone so I believe you will be able to refund our full deposit when you have the Telmex bill.

We loved the location! It was so much nicer than staying in the noise and craziness of downtown where our friends stayed. (they told us we were in the nicest house they had seen even after the House & Garden Tour on Sunday). We all agreed that we want to try a summer vacation next year and hope you will book us for two weeks.
